Spectrum Email Setup
Spectrum is one of the widely used email service providers that make communication easy. If you are looking for the quick steps to set up your Spectrum email account on Outlook, follow the below-mentioned steps.
- On your computer, launch the Outlook app.
- Click the File tab available at the top-left corner of the screen.
- Select the Info tab from the left-side panel and click on Account Settings.
- Select the Account Settings option from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Email tab and select New.
- On the Auto Account Setup screen, go to the Email Account section.
- Enter your desired name in the Your Name field.
- Enter your Spectrum email address and its password in the required fields.
- Enter your account password again in the Retype Password field.
- If you wish to add your Spectrum email’s password to Outlook, select the Save this password in your password list checkbox.
- Click Next to start the Auto Account Setup process.
- When the account is verified, you will get a confirmation message.
- Click Finish followed by Close to finish the setup.
- If you wish to set up your Spectrum email manually, enable the Manual setup or additional server types checkbox on the Auto Account Setup screen.
- Click Next and select IMAP as your account type.
- Under User Information, enter your name, email address, and password.
- Under Server Information, select IMAP from the Account Type pull-down menu.
- Fill up the Incoming Mail Server field with your incoming mail server name (for example, imap.example.com).
- Fill up the Outgoing Mail Server field with the outgoing mail server name (for example, smtp.example.com)
- Under Logon Information, enter your email address and account password.
- Check the Require logon by using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) checkbox.
- Click the More Settings button and mark the necessary checkboxes in the Outgoing Server tab.
- Click the Advanced tab and configure the server ports.
- Click OK and return to the Internet Email Settings screen.
- Click the Test Account Settings button to verify your server settings.
- Once your account is verified, click the Next button.
- Finally, click the Finish button to complete the setup.
