I CAN’T RECEIVE ANY AOL EMAILS SINCE 4/11

AOL Mail is the world’s largest free email service provider that allows you to manage your email accounts from a desktop, laptop, or any hand-held device. It is easy to configure and manage your accounts using AOL Mail. However, there are some errors encountered by the users while sending & receiving emails and accessing their AOL mail account. If you can’t receive any AOL emails since 4/11, then try the simple solutions given below to fix it. In most cases, a poor or unstable connection may delay the emails from receiving. But, if you’re not receiving a new email since 4/11, then you have to try the advanced solutions to fix it.

Solution 1: Changing the spam filter settings

If you have misconfigured the spam filter settings of your AOL Mail account, then there is a chance for the emails that are sent to your account to directly bypass your inbox and get stored in the trash or bin folder. In this case, reconfigure the spam filter settings correctly. To do the same, follow the instructions given here.

  • Access your AOL mail account over a browser.
  • Go to the Options tab and select the Mail Settings option.
  • Choose Spam Settings.
  • Now, on the opened Spam Settings screen, configure the settings correctly and as per your needs.
  • After configuring the settings, ask the sender to send a test mail on your AOL mail account.

Now, if you receive the new email, then the issue is resolved. Otherwise, try the next solution.

Method 2: Look for the missing email in the Spam folder

If you’re not receiving emails from a specific address or sender, then look for those emails in the Spam folder of your AOL Mail account. Why? If you have added an account or address to the Spam list, then the emails sent from it are directed to the Spam folder. 

  1. Go to your AOL Mail account and click on the Spam folder.
  2. Choose the message that is not spam. 
  3. Click on the Not Spam button.
  4. In case you wish to remove the email address from the spam list, then follow these instructions.
  5. Go to the Options tab of your AOL mail account.
  6. Select Mail Settings > Spam Settings.
  7. Choose the email account that you wish to remove from the Spam list.
  8. Click on the x button.

Method 3: Reconfigure the account settings

If you can’t receive any AOL emails after making a change in your account, then check whether you have configured it correctly.

  1. Reconfigure the AOL mail account if you have configured the settings wrongly.
  2. Make sure that the incoming and outgoing server settings of the account are configured correctly.

Method 4: Reactivate your AOL account

If your account is deactivated, you may not receive any new emails. To fix it, reactivate the account. After reactivating the account, check whether you’re able to receive the emails.
