Fix: Gmail Not Receiving Password Reset Emails

Suppose you have forgotten your Gmail account’s password, then you cannot access your account. In that case, you can recover the Gmail password using your recovery email address. If you don’t receive the password reset mail on your recovery email address, check your computer’s internet connection. Otherwise, try to reset your Gmail password using a recovery phone number or answer the security question. To do so, just perform the below instructions carefully.

Gmail Not Receiving Password Reset Emails

Check Your Computer’s Internet Connection

  1. First, check whether your computer is connected to a standard internet connection.
  2. If the device is connected to a low-speed network, reconnect it to a high-speed network connection.
  3. Now, check whether you can receive the password reset mail on your recovery email address.
  4. If it does not work, then close all the applications on your computer.
  5. Click the Start menu and select the Power icon.
  6. Choose the Restart option from the drop-down list.
  7. Once your computer turns on, check if the issue is solved.
  8. If the problem persists, check the Spam folder in your Gmail account by following the below steps.

Check The Gmail Spam Folder

  1. Open the default browser on your computer.
  2. Visit the official Gmail website and log in to your account.
  3. Scroll down the left menu panel of the window.
  4. Now, select the More drop-down icon from the list.
  5. Navigate to the Spam folder and click it.
  6. Here, check whether you have received the password reset email in the Spam folder.
  7. In case you get the password reset email, proceed with the resetting process.
  8. If you still don’t receive the password reset email, try to use any one of the below alternative ways.

Resetting Gmail Password Using Recovery Phone Number

  1. Launch the default browser on your computer and go to the official Gmail login page.
  2. Input your respective email address or phone number in the Email or phone field and click Next.
  3. Here, choose the Forget password link below the password field.
  4. Choose The Forget Password
  5. Now, enter the last password you remember and click the Next button.
  6. If you don’t know the password you have used before, click the Try another way link.
  7. Here, select the Get a verification code option from the list.
  8. Type your recovery phone number in the respective field and click on the Send button.
  9. Now, you will get the verification code to the recovery phone number.
  10. Type the verification code in the respective field and follow the on-screen prompts to reset your Gmail password.

Resetting Gmail Password By Security Question

  1. Open the default browser and visit the official Gmail login page on your computer.
  2. Here, type your email address or phone number in the respective field and click the Next button.
  3. Next, select the Forget password link under the password field.
  4. Input the last password you remember and click the Next button.
  5. If you don’t remember any password you have used before, click on the Try another way link and select the Answer your security question option from the list.
  6. Here, answer each security question and click on the Next button.
  7. Click On The Next Button
  8. Now, you will be directed to the password resetting page.
  9. Enter a new password in the Create password field and confirm it again in the Confirm password field.
  10. At last, click the Change password button.
  11. You can now solve the “Gmail not receiving password reset email” issue on your computer by following the above instructions.
