Earthlink Email Settings

Earthlink is a free webmail service that allows you to set up your email account on macOS and Windows computers. The Earthlink email settings include POP/IMAP and SMTP protocols. Using these protocols, you can configure your email account on desktop or mobile phone email clients apps. Below are the Earthlink email server settings.
POP:
- Incoming mail server: pop.earthlink.net
- Incoming server port: 995
- Security type: SSL
- Username: Your Earthlink email address
- Password: Your Earthlink email account password
IMAP:
- Incoming mail server: imap.earthlink.net
- Incoming server port: 993
- Security type: SSL
- Username: Your Earthlink email address
- Password: Your Earthlink email account password
SMTP:
- Outgoing mail server: smtpauth.earthlink.net
- Outgoing server port: 587
- Security type: STARTTLS
- Username: Your Earthlink email address
- Password: Your Earthlink email account password
Steps to configure the Earthlink email settings manually in Mailbird:
- On your computer, launch Mailbird by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
- Click the Menu icon at the top-left corner.
- Select Options from the drop-down list.
- Choose Accounts from the left-side panel.
- Click the Add button and enter your email account details in the available fields.
- On the Settings found screen, click on Edit server settings.
- Under Incoming server, choose either POP or IMAP as your account type from the Server type drop-down menu.
- In the Server name field, enter the incoming mail server name.
- Input the incoming server port number in the Port box.
- Choose your security type from the Encryption drop-down menu.
- Enter your email address and password in the Username and Password fields.
- Under Outgoing server, enter the outgoing mail server name in the SMTP server field.
- Input the outgoing server port number in the Port box.
- Choose STARTTLS from the Encryption drop-down menu and select the Requires authentication checkbox.
- Input your account details in the Username and Password fields.
- Click Continue and wait until your Earthlink email is added to the Mailbird app.
Steps to configure the Earthlink email settings in Outlook 2016:
- Launch Microsoft Outlook.
- Next, click the File tab and select the Info option.
- Click on Add Account below Account Information.
- On the Auto Account Setup screen, select the Manual setup or additional server types option and click Next.
- On the Choose Service screen, select the POP or IMAP option.
- Next, you should enter the account details in the following sections.
- User Information
- Server Information
- Logon Information
- Under User Information, give a name for your account in the Your Name field.
- Enter your Earthlink email address in the Email Address field.
- Under Server Information, select either POP or IMAP as your account type from the drop-down menu.
- Input the incoming and outgoing mail server names in the available fields.
- In the Logon Information section, enter your email account details.
- Click on More Settings to open the Internet Email Settings window.
- In the Outgoing Server tab, select the checkbox at the top and then the option to use the same settings as your incoming mail server.
- In the Advanced tab, select the security type and enter server port details.
- Click OK and verify the configured Earthlink email settings by clicking the Test Account Settings button.
- Finally, click OK –> Finish.
