Can’t send or receive emails

Check if your password is correct

Providing the wrong password or email address will result in being unable to access or send any emails.

  1. Turn on your computer and go to the official web page of BigPond.
  2. On the login page, provide your email address and password in the respective fields.
  3. Check whether you have provided the correct password.
  4. If you have forgotten the password, click on the Forgot password option.
  5. On the Reset password page, provide your email address under the Username field.
  6. Make sure that you select the checkbox next to the I’m not a robot option and click Send email.
  7. Open your email account.
  8. Open the Reset password link mail in the Inbox.
  9. Click Reset password.
  10. Enter your new password in the New Password field and retype it to confirm the password.
  11. Make sure you provide a strong password.
  12. Once confirmed, go back to the login page and provide the email and password.
  13. Click Login and make sure you can send and receive emails now.

Check your Internet connection

Make sure that your Windows computer is connected to the Internet. If the Internet connection is poor, this will result in being unable to send or receive messages.

  1. Disconnect your computer from Wi-Fi.
  2. Reconnect it after restarting the router.
  3. Make sure that the connection is strong.
  4. If not, change the router.
  5. Reconnect your computer to the new Wi-Fi router.
  6. Check whether you can access your BigPond mail.

Why are sent emails not appearing in the Sent folder?

If your sent emails do not appear in the Sent folder, they are not saved correctly. So let us see how to save the emails from getting them to appear in the Sent folder.

  • Open your BigPond mail page.
  • Log into your mail.
  • Select the Settings option and choose Mail.
  • Check whether the Save sent messages checkbox is selected.
  • Click Save.
  • Now check whether the emails are appearing in the Sent folder.

Why is my email forwarding not working?

  1. Open your BigPond webmail and log into your account.
  2. Click on the Inbox section.
  3. Choose Options.
  4. Under Managing your account, search and locate the Email forwarding option from the list.
  5. Under Email forwarding, make sure that you select the Forward your mail to another email account option.
  6. Input the email to which you want to forward the emails.
  7. Click Save.
