Bellsouth Email Not Working

  3. Enter your Bellsouth email login credentials in the required fields and click the Sign in button.
  4. If you cannot sign in to your Bellsouth email account, check if the user ID and password are correct.
  5. Try clearing the cookies and caches from your browser and retry logging in to your account.
  6. If the problem persists, click the Forgot password link on the sign-in page and reset your password.
  7. After resetting your password, try accessing your email account with the new password.

Checking the account settings:

  1. If you have already closed the Outlook app, relaunch it.
  2. In the Outlook app, click the File tab at the top-left corner and select the Info option.
  3. Click the Account Settings tab twice.
  4. In the Email tab, choose your Bellsouth email account and click the Change button.
  5. Check your account details in the User Information and Logon Information sections.
  6. Under Server Information, check if you have correctly entered the incoming and outgoing mail server names.
  7. Click More Settings to open the Internet Email Settings window.
  8. In the Outgoing Server tab, check if the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox is selected.
  9. Also, check if the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option is selected.
  10. Jump to the Advanced tab and check the server ports for both incoming and outgoing mail servers.
  11. Verify if you have selected the correct security type from the drop-down menus.
  12. Click OK and verify the account settings by clicking the Test Account Settings button.
  13. Once the verification is complete, click Next and select Finish.
  14. Restart Outlook and try sending a test email.
  15. If your Bellsouth email is not working, try the next step.

Repairing the Outlook profile:

  1. In the Outlook app, click the File tab.
  2. Select the Info option from the left-side panel.
  3. Click Account Settings twice.
  4. In the Account Settings window, click the Email tab.
  5. Select your Bellsouth email account and click the Repair button.
  6. Carry out the instructions in the dialog box and repair your Outlook profile.
