AOL offers a free web-based email service and it is vastly used for its features that are user-friendly. Although being a web-based email service, AOL supports setting up the email account in email clients using IMAP or POP as the incoming mail server and SMTP as the outgoing mail server. Using the above-mentioned server settings, you can configure your AOL email account on Android. The below section explains the same.

Setting up AOL email on Android:

  • Initially, make sure that your Android device is connected to the Internet.
  • If you’re configuring the email account for the first time on your Android phone, then open Settings and tap on the Add Account option.
  • Configure your AOL email account by following the on-screen instructions.
  • In case you have already configured email accounts on your Android phone, open the default email application.
  • Select the Add a new account option.
  • Tap on the Other option.
  • Type your AOL email account credentials in the given fields and tap Login.
  • Similarly, enter your account’s incoming & outgoing server details in the corresponding fields.
  • Tap the Done button.
  • Once the AOL email account is configured on your Android phone, you can access it to send and receive emails.
  • To check whether the account is configured correctly, send a test mail.
  • If the test mail is sent successfully, your AOL email account is configured correctly.
