1 AND 1 EMAIL SETTINGS FOR OUTLOOK 2013 & 2016

User Information

Username: Name as in 1and1
Password: Your 1 and 1 e-mail account password

Logon Information

Username: Your 1 and 1 e-mail address
Password: Your 1 and 1 account password.

Now, let’s see how to configure your 1 and 1 e-mail account in Outlook 2013 and 2016. The following instructions are suitable for both Outlook 2013 and 2016.

Initially, make sure that your computer is connected to a stable Internet connection.

Now, launch the Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016 application on your computer.

Go to the File menu.

Select the Info sub-menu.

Click on the Account Settings option followed by Account Settings.

Now, a dialog box titled Add Account will open.

In the opened box, select the option Manual setup… by clicking the radio button beside it.

Move on to the next step of the account configuration by clicking the Next button available in the Add Account dialog box.

In the Choose Service window, select the POP or IMAP option.

Now, a dialog box prompting you to enter your account’s user information, server information, and logon information will appear on the screen.

Type the following server information in the given fields.

User Information

Your name: Name as in your 1 and 1 e-mail account E-mail address: Your 1 and 1 e-mail account address

Server Information

Account type: Choose IMAP or POP3 Incoming mail server: pop3.ionos.com or imap.ionos.com Outgoing mail server: smtp.ionos.com

Logon Information

User Name: Your 1 and 1 e-mail address
Password: Your 1 and 1 account password
After entering these settings correctly in the given fields, select the Remember password option if necessary.
In the POP and IMAP Account Settings window, click on the More Settings button.
Now, a dialog box titled Internet E-mail Settings will open.
Go to the Outgoing Server tab.
Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Use the same settings as my incoming mail server options and click the OK button.
Now, go to the Advanced tab.
Type the port number for the incoming and outgoing servers in the given fields.
Click Apply > OK > Test Account Settings.
Now, if you receive a test mail to your 1 and 1 account, then the account is configured successfully.
